MONK's DREAM
LIVE at IRIDIUM

The last two sets of the August 2002 week-long engagement at NYC's club IRIDIUM (filmed on 11 August 2002)
A limited edition of 12 DVDs, numbered and signed, distributed exclusively to the musicians and their close friends (Senators Records)

Note: it is hoped that, someday, this unique historical event will become available to a large viewers' audience...

THE BEAT SUITE
Over 14 hours of videotape have been captured during the first week of August 2003, both on Super Hi8 and Digital video.
The task to condense these exceptional performances into a single / reasonably short DVD is immense.

This was the first public performance of Steve Lacy days after he was diagnosed with liver cancer.

Steve LACY
with Irene Aebi, George LEWIS, Jean-Jacques AVENEL, John BETSCH
(a possible future production / release by Senators Records).

Note: here again, it is hoped that in the future, this exceptional event become commercially available...

MONKSIELAND
The project "MONKSIELAND" was filmed on 21 March 2004: It covers the last two sets of the week-long engagement of this unusual new group...
After several years of talking about "getting together," it was the first time Steve Lacy and Dave Douglas actually played together in front of a New York City audience.
Unknowingly at the time, this was to become -- sadly -- Steve Lacy's last (known) filmed club performance before his untimely passing on 04 June 2004.

Steve LACY
with Roswell RUDD, Dave DOUGLAS, Jean-Jacques AVENEL, John BETSCH

Original limited edition of 12 DVDs, numbered and signed, distributed exclusively to the musicians and their close friends.
(captured on digital video, produced by Gilles Laheurte).

Note: We hope that this historical performance of Steve Lacy's last live club performance will someday be made available to the jazz community...

KEVIN NORTON'S DEWLINE
Filmed on May 06, 2005 at the Cornelia Street cafe, this is the second DVD of DEWLINE filmed / produced by Gilles.

Original limited edition of 12 DVDs, numbered and signed, distributed exclusively to the musicians and their close friends.

Discussions about making this commercially available are ongoing.
